Crazy day.

So today Virginia Tech started the Fall 2006 semester with a bang. There was a loose killer running around near campus. It was so weird. Class was in session this morning but then there was a scare in the student center where there was a supposed sighting of the guy and the swat team went in and evacuated etc etc... and then they cancelled classes for the rest of the day and Tech was on lockdown. Absolutely ridiculous. We WOULD have a crazed killer running around on the first day of classes. Geeze. I'm sure the freshmen were like, "great, why did I come here." But... they caught him and now all is well. Classes will resume as usual tomorrow and we can all move on. I'm just glad everyone is okay.

It's just crazy to even imagine something like this happening here. A lot of people don't even know where Blacksburg is and here we are making the front page of CNN news. It's terrible, really. I'm glad it's over.
