Jack's House + VaCo = Gnarly

I went to see Jack's House and Vaco play here at the Water Street Gallery on Tuesday Night (I think it was November 30th)... Anyway, Eva and her friends came down from UVA through really crappy weather to see them play and we had a blast! I miss Eva so much. I don't remember the last time I saw her. But, we quickly made up for lost time. The show was a lot of fun... Jack's House played first and they were amazing as usual. Javarus is a great dancer and singer... Ricky um, not so much of a good dancer, but a great singer. And watching Jack play the drums is so funny... I love his insanely crazy head movements. They sang a couple of songs to us which was pretty cool... I mean common, that's awesome! They also did 3 covers, one was Incubus's Drive which was really great, another was a Stevie Wonder Song which Jack Sang... which is suprising because he usually doesn't sing which he should think about doing more often since he's got agreat voice. They also sang this other song... but it's killing me because I don't remember what it was called, but I know that it was in a Gap commercial awhile ago... gah. That was a really good song though. After their set was over, I got to meet Javarus who was still sober at that point. Always a bonus right? Ha ha... Then, VaCo took the stage and the skank whores began pouring in - what's a concert without our favorite skank whores?! It was fun seeing drunk girls try to walk in stilettos. :) Does laughing at stupid people make me a bad person? Because right now I kinda feel like a jerk. Anyway, VaCo was just phenomenal... I mean would you expect anything less? I like the lead singer's pin stripe pants. That is all. Ha ha jk. Anyway, I saw them over the summer at Wolf Trap with Graham Colton, Howie Day and O.A.R. They were OAR's special guests and they were so much fun then and even better in a smaller setting. So all was good. After the show Javarus came up to us as Eva and her friends were about to leave to head back to UVA and he asked if I wanted to hang out with Jack's House because I obviously go to school here, but I had an 8am and he wanted me to stay out until 6 so that was a no go. But it was cool. I'll probably see them again at some point. All the Alexandria people know them so I'm sure we'll cross paths again at a party or two. :)

The end.

PS: If you want to check out either of the bands... check out their websites below
